19-year-old motorist eludes law enforcement, leading to unfortunate collision in an old vehicle
In a series of unexpected events, a 25-year-old resident of Munich and a 19-year-old driver from Nuremberg find themselves under investigation following a car accident in Wehrstaudenstraße.
The incident occurred late on Friday evening when the Audi, a rental car, was found crashed in Wehrstaudenstraße. The driver, who was initially nowhere to be found after the crash, returned to the scene shortly after. Upon questioning, the driver admitted to the police that he was driving the car.
Investigations revealed that the 19-year-old driver was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident. Furthermore, it was discovered that he did not possess a valid driver's license. The police ordered a blood test for the driver to confirm their suspicions.
The 25-year-old Munich resident, who rented the car and provided it to the 19-year-old driver knowing he did not have a driver's license, is also under investigation. This is not the first time the Munich resident has been implicated in such an incident. In a separate incident in Karlsfeld, the 19-year-old driver had evaded a police control and was found to have been driving under the influence.
The evasion occurred around 9:45 PM during a general traffic control. The 19-year-old driver had consumed cannabis before the journey. The Audi, a rental car, was towed away.
The 25-year-old Munich resident can also expect charges for his actions. As the car renter, he is responsible for ensuring that the driver is licensed and not under the influence.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible car rental practices and the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs. The police are urging the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to ensure the safety of all road users.
