2024 Plans Unveiled: Forty IT and Autonomous Vehicle Firms to Watch

2024 is off to a promising start, with key players in the Audio-Visual (AV) industry gearing up for a year filled with new products, strategic alliances, and a strong focus on sustainability.

Mark Bonifacio, Director of Business Management for Professional Display Solutions at Sony Electronics, has highlighted Sony's commitment to sustainable practices across their product lifecycle. This eco-conscious approach is a common theme in many company roadmaps, as 40 AV/IT thought leaders emphasize the importance of sustainability in their philosophies.

Similarly, Bjorn Krylander, CEO of Datapath, has emphasized the importance of minimizing the environmental impact of their products in their roadmap. Other companies, such as Nureva, are focusing on delivering large-room audio solutions with maximum adaptability and flexibility, as announced by Nancy Knowlton, CEO of Nureva.

Manufacturers showcased their new offerings at Integrated Systems Europe in February, and more announcements are expected at InfoComm in June. Samsung and PPDS are among the companies set to present their new products and solutions at the InfoComm 2024 event. Samsung will showcase Color E-Paper Displays for businesses, while PPDS will introduce the Philips Hospitality TV 4500 series with Chromecast built-in and Google Play Store.

The adoption of hybrid workplace models is a trend that continues to grow. Companies are adopting these models to cater to the needs of their employees, and high-quality audio solutions have been widely adopted by end users, with their deployment continuing. Susy Liem, Associate Vice President of Conferencing Product Management at Shure, believes the right AV equipment and solutions can improve employee experience, productivity, and decision-making.

Holger Stoltze, Director of Product Management at Yamaha UC, predicts an increase in the use of AI in AV products for a better remote meeting experience. Amber Ward, Director of Marketing at Carousel Digital Signage, aims to help customers break through the noise and get the most out of their signage system in 2024.

Several companies, including 22Miles, AtlasIED, Atlona, Audinate, Avocor, Biamp, Carousel Digital Signage, Crestron, D-Tools, Datapath, Digital Projection, Draper, HARMAN Professional Solutions, HDBaseT Alliance, HP, Humly, Jupiter, Just Add Power, Lawo, Legrand | AV, Listen Technologies, LynTec, Matrox Video, NETGEAR Business, Nureva, Panasonic Connect, and Peerless-AV, are at the forefront of this innovative wave in the AV industry.

Ryan Carson, Vice President and General Manager of Professional Imaging and Visual Systems at Panasonic Connect North America, plans to elevate experiences and spaces in 2024 with their ecosystem of customers and partners. As the industry moves forward, it's clear that innovation, sustainability, and a focus on the user experience will continue to be key drivers.

Supply chain issues, which have been a concern in recent years, appear to be largely resolved, setting the stage for a productive and exciting year ahead.
