3D Scanner Revolution: Artec Studio 20 Offers Remarkable Functionality as if It's a brand-new Tool

Artec 3D, a leading provider of 3D scanning solutions, has recently announced the release of Artec Studio 20, a significant software upgrade for their range of 3D scanners. This update introduces fully automated, customizable workflows that speed up data processing by up to 70%, improve hardware integration, and enable faster, easier capture of detailed and artifact-free 3D models.

One of the key features of Artec Studio 20 is its prioritization of sharp images during photogrammetry data capture. The software now ensures that only the best possible frames are chosen from uploaded photos or video for maximum realism. This enhancement is particularly noticeable in the Artec Spider II, a handheld 3D scanner, which now includes Live Scan Decimation for more efficient scanning, delivering high-detail, lightweight models.

Artec Spider II has also gained the ability to perform real-time fusion, a feature previously exclusive to Artec Leo. This allows for seamless scanning and more accurate 3D models.

The Artec Leo and Artec Ray II have benefited from wider improvements, including a fusion setting redesign and workflow automation. These enhancements make the scanning process more efficient and user-friendly.

Artec Studio 20 now supports the enhanced USD file format, improving its functionality for CGI & VFX users. Additionally, the software now offers multi-camera support, allowing the use of various hardware combinations like drones, smartphones, handycams, or DSLR cameras for photogrammetry data capture.

The performance of Artec Point, Artec 3D's first industrial laser scanner, has been upgraded with better visualization for 2x faster data capture and a more intuitive scanning experience.

Artec Micro II, a desktop 3D scanner, now supports HD Mode and 3-axis scanning, allowing for higher resolution and more complete scans of small objects. Users can now boost fine detail capture with Artec Micro II, picking up 4x more data points with each scan.

Refined masking in AI Photogrammetry in Artec Studio 20 prevents artifacts in 3D models, requiring minimal editing for CGI, VFX, forensics, and more. Masking for texturing also prevents objects from blurring with their background.

ZEISS Inspect advanced analysis tools are now easier to access in Artec Studio 20 due to a new interface that facilitates scripting automation. RCP file support has been added to Artec Studio 20, providing compatibility with popular BIM platforms like Autodesk Revit.

Autopilot in Artec Studio 20 streamlines the steps involved in scanning, making the process even more efficient.

Artec Studio 20 is now available for purchase from Artec3d.com. Artec 3D will be offering demos of Artec Studio 20 at the Formnext trade show in Frankfurt in November.

This upgrade effectively provides users with a new device, offering them a more efficient, user-friendly, and accurate 3D scanning experience.
