A day marked by resuscitation training's continued success and expansion.
In the heart of Aschaffenburg, Germany, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, the fourth edition of the "Reanimation Quickies" event took place. This joint action, organised by the working group "Reanimation" under the roof of the Gesundheitsregionplus of the city and district, aimed to raise awareness about resuscitation and lower the threshold for helping in an emergency, thus potentially saving lives.
The event was attended by Landrat Dr. Alexander Legler, Mayor Friedrich Fleckenstein, and representatives of the participating organisations, which included fire departments, Red Cross, Maltese Aid Service, Johanniter, IMS rescue service, AED saves lives association, TH Aschaffenburg, and Klinikum Aschaffenburg-Alzenau.
The training sessions were conducted under professional guidance, with resuscitation being demonstrated as a simple and important skill. The goal of the event was to permanently anchor the topic of resuscitation in the consciousness of the population.
Landrat Dr. Alexander Legler expressed his gratitude towards the various organisations involved and emphasised the event's success. He also announced that the "Reanimation Quickies" event will continue to be a fixed part of the event calendar, with the next edition scheduled for July 4, 2026.
Over 1,000 participants, including children and young people, attended the event that took place at 36 locations spread across 22 municipalities and the independent city. Around 280 helpers ensured the successful implementation of the event, which was held in the picturesque town of Laufach.
