A groundbreaking event for local knitting enthusiasts: Cineplex in our city will screen the first-ever knitting-themed movie on June 06, 2025.
The city marketing of our city is set to bring a unique and exciting event to the community - the Strick-Kino. This creative initiative, which combines film enjoyment with knitting and crocheting, has been developed and promoted by the city marketing for many years.
Local resident Birgit Reuter, known for her colourful wool creations under the name Stricklilly, will set up a sales stand in the foyer of Cineplex our city, the venue for the Strick-Kino event. Another city resident, Ulrike Bauch, who shares a passion for knitting, crocheting, and creating new things, has been instrumental in bringing the Strick-Kino to our city.
Ulrike Bauch discovered the Strick-Kino concept in another city and was inspired to bring it to our city. She is also a regular at the city's creative market "Handmade" with her own stand, further connecting her in the handmade scene.
The Strick-Kino offers an experience for all senses - visually, haptically, and socially. It serves as a meeting place for like-minded people who can share experiences, learn new techniques, and be inspired. The event provides a unique atmosphere that is both relaxing and stimulating, making it the perfect opportunity to escape everyday life and immerse oneself in creativity.
Wolfgang Schäfer, the cinema operator who joined the Strick-Kino initiative, has not provided detailed personal or biographical information. However, he has shown his support for the idea of the Strick-Kino in our city.
The first Strick-Kino in our city will be held at Cineplex our city, screening the film "Bridget Jones - Verrückt nach Ihm" at 5:00 PM. A champagne reception will be held from 4:00 PM before the film screening.
