A Japanese individual attends a nighttime date arranged by a hostess, witnessing celestial bodies that weren't part of his preferred viewing experience.
In a shocking turn of events, the Fukuoka Prefectural Police announced the arrest of six individuals, including a Yakuza lieutenant and a hostess, on charges of assault and robbery. The arrests, which took place on September 4, 2023, were in relation to an incident that occurred in Fukuoka Prefecture on May 8, 2023.
The victim, a 35-year-old building painter from Fukuoka Prefecture, had agreed to a date with a woman who was a hostess at a hostess club he frequently visited. The date plan was to see the night view in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture. However, the woman's intentions were far from genuine.
The painter was driven by the woman to a local spot called "Glider Mountain" around 9:30 p.m. It was here that the hostess and her associates, who were allegedly members of a local Yakuza group, had planned an ambush.
The assault continued for around 30 minutes after midnight, resulting in broken teeth for the victim. The mobsters confronted the painter, punching him, stabbing him with an awl, and stealing his phone and around 30,000 yen in cash.
The investigation, which took about two months, determined that the woman's giving directions was not for the fastest or most convenient route, but to lead the painter to the ambush site. The hostess's feelings, however, were not romantic but rather a desire for the painter's money and the money of her gangster associates.
The total number of suspects arrested is six, including the Yakuza boss and the hostess. The injuries sustained by the painter took about two months to heal. The Fukuoka Prefectural Police have stated that they will continue to investigate the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.
