The much-anticipated Gourmet Festival is set to return to Koenigsallee from August 23rd to 25th, spanning a 2.3-kilometer gourmet mile between Graf-Adolf-Platz and Corneliusplatz. This year, the event will feature a diverse lineup of over 217 gastronomes, winemakers, and epicurean artisans, including the return of Erlebnis-Supermarkt Zurheide Feine Kost at Bastionsbruecke.

For the first time, the festival will be hosting a guest country - Canada. Visitors can expect to savour typical Canadian dishes like lobster, salmon, bison, and maple syrup. Zurheide gastronomies from the Berliner Allee will also be present, serving a variety of dishes such as Beef Brulee, grilled Flaguette bread, Aithor ham, Burrata, and high-quality meat dishes.

The festival is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors, making it an event not to be missed. A varied supporting program includes tastings, workshops, show cooking, and music. Highlights include a breakfast brunch on Saturday at 10 am and a jazz breakfast with live music by Benny Joyce on Sunday at the same time.

One of the most exciting events at this year's festival is "Dinner in the Sky", where participants are served a meal by top chefs on a platform suspended 50 meters in the air. Unfortunately, all places for this unique dining experience are already fully booked.

Despite the excitement surrounding "Dinner in the Sky", the search results do not contain information about the chef who will be present and preparing food at the event from August 23 to August 25. Regardless, the Gourmet Festival promises to be a culinary extravaganza for food lovers of all kinds.
