Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marburg Criminal Police at 06421/406-0.
In a separate incident, a traffic accident occurred on the L3049 road near Niedereisenhausen around 2:40 PM. A motorcyclist from Gießen was seriously injured when he lost control of his Suzuki in a curve and crashed. The following 62-year-old from Siegen swerved to avoid the crash and collided with a 34-year-old motorcycle rider from Biedenkopf. Three injuries were reported as a result of the accident. The road had to be partially closed during the investigation.
Another traffic accident occurred on the L3077 road between Bracht and Rosenthal around 7:10 PM. A larger group of motorcycle riders was traveling between Niedereisenhausen and Quotshausen when the accident occurred. A 52-year-old man from Eschenburg collided with the motorcycle of a 54-year-old from Siegen. The motorcyclist sustained multiple fractures and was taken to a nearby hospital along with the two other injured parties.
A radio warning message was issued about the closure of the roads due to the accidents. The police are also asking for descriptions of the suspected perpetrators in the Rewe store break-in. The thieves are believed to have fled in an unknown direction after stealing from the store.
