Accident near Lampertheim results in 7 injuries, with a rescue helicopter taking action

On Saturday, 30th August, a road accident occurred between the towns of Lampertheim and Neuschloss, as reported by the South Hessian Police Headquarters. The incident involved a 25-year-old driver from Lampertheim, who was the cause of the collision.

The accident took place around 5 pm, with the car colliding with a street lamp before hitting a tree. As a result, seven individuals were injured, two of whom sustained serious injuries. The other five victims were taken to clinics by ambulance, while the two seriously injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals by helicopter.

The country road was closed in both directions for the investigation, and the Public Prosecutor's Office in Darmstadt ordered a specialist to determine the cause of the accident. The road was reopened around 8:45 pm.

The search results do not provide the name of the specialist appointed by the Darmstadt Public Prosecutor's Office. The South Hessian Police Headquarters are urging witnesses of the accident to contact the Lampertheim-Viernheim police station at 06206 9440-0.

The estimated damage from the accident is around 8,500 euros. The police are asking for the public's assistance in ensuring a thorough investigation and a safe road for all users.
