Accident on A5 highway: vehicle rolls over, traffic resumes
In an incident that occurred on the A5 near Freiburg, a 72-year-old man lost control of his vehicle, causing it to flip over into a ditch. The accident took place approximately one kilometer after the Freiburg-South exit.
Emergency services were quick to respond, transporting the driver to a local hospital with injuries. However, as of current information, the driver was not severely injured. The condition of the driver has since improved, and they have been discharged from the hospital.
Traffic was diverted for approximately 45 minutes due to the accident. The A5 towards Karlsruhe was closed during this time, but it has since reopened. The wreckage of the vehicle involved in the accident has been removed from the road, and the accident site has been cleared by emergency services.
The A5 near Freiburg, heading towards Karlsruhe, has remained open after the accident. The vehicle involved in the incident was completely destroyed and had to be towed away. The A5 near Freiburg is now free of obstructions, and normal traffic conditions have been restored.
