Accident on B19 results in fatalities, woman sustains severe injuries
In a tragic incident on August 17, 2025, a fatal accident occurred on the B19 near Würzburg, claiming the lives of three individuals.
The Ochsenfurt police conducted an investigation into the accident, with an expert from the public prosecutor's office called in to determine the exact cause of the collision. Local fire departments were also involved in the aftermath of the accident.
The 82-year-old man, who was driving the vehicle, died at the scene from his severe injuries. His 84-year-old female passenger also succumbed to her injuries a few days later in hospital. The third deceased person, another 84-year-old woman, was a passenger in the same vehicle.
Sadly, the driver of the Seat and three occupants of the Mercedes involved in the accident were injured, some severely. The injured parties were taken to different hospitals for treatment.
The B19 was closed for the duration of the accident investigation. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected by this tragic event.
