ACT Entertainment Illuminated the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Weekend with Their Expertise
The 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, held at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, was a spectacle to behold, thanks to the exceptional work of Dodd Technologies.
Dodd Technologies, a seasoned player in the world of live events, was responsible for programming the halftime show, musical team introductions, and other performances. They also provided a complement of gear for the show's lighting control.
The halftime stage was designed to be an organic part of the court, with an all-LED design featuring an upstage wall, side walls, and a large LED floor. Seventy-four laser-source Cobra2s were deployed for the event, providing beam effects outlining the court, scanning effects, and unique projections.
For key lighting and effects, Dodd Technologies used Ayrton Khamsins and Zonda 9 FX lighting fixtures. The Khamsins, known for their versatility, were instrumental in creating dynamic and captivating visuals, while the Zonda 9 FX provided back light for the main stage.
The fixtures ran very efficiently due to the power requirement going to the ceiling, ensuring a smooth and flawless performance. One MDG ATMe haze generator with fan was placed in each of the four corners of the catwalk, adding an extra layer of atmosphere to the show.
Dodd Technologies communicated early with ACT Entertainment, the exclusive distributor of the brands Ayrton, MA Lighting, and MDG in North America, to confirm their plans for the event. ACT Entertainment, in turn, supplied two full-size grandMA3s for the show, one at FOH for focus and the other as a backup unit. Two XL processors, four 8-port nodes, and a replay unit were also provided.
The WNBA Skills Challenge occurred on Friday, July 18 and was broadcast on ESPN. The game was aired live on ABC, Disney+, and ESPN+. The company programmed the halftime show on grandMA3 consoles, delivering a visually stunning performance that complemented the high-energy atmosphere of the game.
Dodd Technologies has been using the grandMA platform for about 15 years, demonstrating their commitment to innovation and excellence in live events. Their expertise and dedication were evident in the successful execution of the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game.
As the production partner for the event, Dodd Technologies proved yet again why they are a leader in the live events industry, delivering a show that was not only visually stunning but also seamlessly integrated with the game itself.
