Celebrities Show Solidarity with Victims of Punjab Floods
Floodwaters continue to spread in Punjab, affecting areas such as Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, and Ferozepur. According to official reports, at least 1,655 villages have been impacted by the floods, with at least 37 lives lost.
In response to the crisis, several Bollywood celebrities have shown their support for the affected population. Diljit Dosanjh has adopted ten villages to lend his support, while Ammy Virk has pledged to help 200 houses that have been destroyed.
Rajkummar Rao and Sanjay Dutt have also urged everyone to lend their support to those affected by the floods. Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra have shown solidarity with the victims, expressing their condolences and prayers.
Sonam Bajwa, who hails from Punjab, has been actively involved in raising awareness about the floods. She has posted images of the devastated areas and has donated to organizations actively working on the ground to help those affected. In her post, she highlighted the resilience and unity of Punjabis in the face of adversity.
Shah Rukh Khan has also expressed his solidarity with the victims of the Punjab flooding. He posted about the crisis on Instagram and X, calling for prayers and support for those affected.
