"Actress Robin Wright shares her thoughts on moving to the U.K., labeling America as a 'disaster'."

Mark Hamill, famed for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga, recently contemplated a move out of the United States following President Trump's re-election. His wife, described as "very clever," managed to dissuade him from leaving the country, as he proposed moving to London or Ireland.

Meanwhile, actress Robin Wright, known for her role in Forrest Gump and the TV show The Girlfriend, has already made the move. She currently resides in England with her partner, British architect Henry Smith. In an interview with The Times U.K., Wright opened up about her experiences in England and her comparisons between the lifestyles in America and England.

Wright finds a "freedom of self" in England that is not present in the United States. She described most of America as being in a constant state of rush, competition, and speed. In contrast, she finds England to be more relaxed, with a different pace of life.

However, Wright is grappling with England's "obsession with class." She questioned why England is so concerned with who went to a particular boarding school or university. She also noted that it's evident when feeling the judgment or praise of someone who's more elevated in England.

Another celebrity considering a move to Europe is Rosie O'Donnell. The comedian and actress moved to Ireland in March following Trump's return to office. No specific reasons for her move were provided.

In the interview, Wright compared the lifestyles in America and England. She expressed her preference for living in England over America, citing the slower pace of life and the "freedom of self" as her main reasons. She also found the constant judgment and competition in America to be overwhelming.

As for Mark Hamill, it seems he has decided to stay put for now. His wife's wisdom and the allure of England may have been compelling, but in the end, the Star Wars legend chose to remain in the United States.
