In the heart of Essen, Germany, a dramatic incident unfolded on Friday, January 24. According to a report by Polizei Essen via news aktuell, a 17-year-old Iraqi was apprehended in the MH-Altstadt II area.

The events leading up to the apprehension began around 11 am when a black Mercedes AMG, driven by the suspect, was spotted travelling towards Aktienstraße on Engelbertusstraße. The police attempted to pull over the vehicle due to recognition from previous incidents, but the driver attempted to flee.

The high-speed chase ended in a dead-end street at the end of Engelbertusstraße, where the car was abandoned. The suspect, however, managed to escape on foot but was later found hiding behind a recycling bin.

Upon searching the suspect and his vehicle, the police discovered a large amount of cash on the suspect and a money counter in the car. The source of the cash remains unclear, as the suspect was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation.

The suspect has a history of repeat offenses, including assault, property damage, and driving without a license. The ownership of the car is still under investigation.
