Advancement and Advocacy of the European Concept
The German Federal Foreign Office has announced a new funding programme, aligning with its self-commitments as outlined in the report "Gender Equality in German Foreign Policy and the Federal Foreign Office". This programme is designed to support innovative projects focusing on European topics, reaching various audiences and fostering dialogue on these subjects.
The funding is primarily awarded to natural and legal persons in Germany, including national and international associations, German and foreign non-governmental organizations, individuals, charitable institutions, international organizations, and for recipients based exclusively abroad, the same conditions will be applied analogously in the funding agreement.
Projects lasting less than a year are eligible for funding. The funded projects will focus on promoting the European idea in public, networking civil society at a transnational and multigenerational level on European topics, and highlighting the added value of the EU.
Applicants are required to commit to a minimum of 30% female representation in panels and invited speakers. The projects will also involve creating forums for diverse and lively dialogue on European topics.
Evaluation costs are eligible for funding, but there are no guidelines for the amount of funding, the form and type of funding, the deadlines for application submission beyond the eight-week requirement before the planned project start, or the final report (contents, deadlines).
