Advertising Banners for designated content sections

In a recent update, the guidelines for native ads have been revised to ensure a seamless and optimised user experience. Here's a breakdown of the key changes:

  1. Content Format: The content for native ads can take various forms, including whitepapers, case studies, podcasts, webinars, or outbound URLs.
  2. Image Dimensions: The images for native ads should be 400x300 pixels in size, and they can be in JPG, PNG, or static GIF format. It's important to note that the maximum image size is 1 MB for optimal display across all devices.
  3. Image Optimimal Positioning: For best results, logos and text should be positioned away from the edges of the image to ensure they are visible on all devices.
  4. Image Croping: On mobile devices, the image is cropped to a square, while on tablets and desktops, it is displayed as a rectangle.
  5. Headline Length: The headline for the native ad should be no longer than 75 characters to maintain readability.
  6. Display Location: The native ad displays on the right side or bottom of the page, depending on the reader's device, for maximum visibility.
  7. Image Requirements: Please send the URL for each native ad image to ensure accurate and timely placement. Each Reskin pair uses one URL only.
  8. Reskin Graphics: The reskin graphics display simultaneously but operate independently. The background for these graphics scales to fit the device width and does not display on some mobile devices. The reskin message box is a fixed position above the content box.
  9. Assets Due Date: Assets are due 3 business days before the scheduled start date to allow for proper implementation.
  10. Performance Tracking: We track individual ad performance in our reporting dashboards to provide insights and improve future campaigns.
  11. Impression Click Trackers: We allow impression click trackers to monitor user engagement with the ads.
  12. No Repetition: To prevent user fatigue, the sponsor's banners appear only once in all placements related to a specific content area and articles within it.
  13. Responsibility: The partner (Sponsor) is responsible for creating the banner assets for the sponsored content area, as they are obligated to provide essential and content-correct materials. The service provider (e.g., BWE-SERVICE) does not assume responsibility for creation but only for services agreed in the sponsorship contract.

These updates aim to streamline the process of creating and implementing native ads, ensuring a better user experience and more effective advertising for all parties involved.
