Affordable Variants Introduced for Skoda's Electric Vehicle, Enyaq EV, Mirroring Volkswagen ID.4, offering reduced pricing options

Skoda has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Skoda Enyaq iV and the upcoming Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV. The new models are closely related to their Volkswagen counterparts, the ID.4 and ID.5, respectively.

The Skoda Enyaq iV, the brand's second electric vehicle, is now available for order. The base model, the Enyaq 50, starts at £36,970, while the Enyaq 50 Edition costs £38,585. Both models come equipped with standard features such as 19-inch alloys, the Loft Interior Design, and a 13-inch infotainment system. The Enyaq 50 Edition adds additional features like LED Matrix headlights, LED tail lights, heated front seats and steering wheel, privacy glass, Climate, Adaptive Cruise, and wireless phone charging.

The Enyaq 50 is powered by a 55kWh battery, providing a range of up to 234 miles. It boasts a top speed of 99mph and supports charging at up to 145kW.

While the prices and specifications for the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV and the Skoda Enyaq iV have yet to be revealed, it is expected that they will follow a similar pattern to their respective VW counterparts. The Enyaq Coupe iV is a performance vRS model and is a coupe version of the existing Enyaq iV. It is teased ahead of a debut in the New Year.

The Skoda Enyaq iV made its appearance with a silhouette image ahead of an official reveal on 1 September. The car company Škoda Auto presented the electric version of the Škoda Enyaq, which corresponds to the VW ID.4, starting in 2020. The Enyaq is Škoda's first battery-electric SUV and shares its technology with the VW ID.4.

The Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV is expected to be based on the same platform as the VW ID.5. Both the Enyaq iV and the Enyaq Coupe iV are separate models from the Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition mentioned earlier.

In a recent development, the entry-level price for the electric Skoda Enyaq has been reduced, making it more accessible to a wider audience. The new Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition are the latest additions to the Enyaq range, joining the existing models.

As Skoda continues to expand its electric vehicle lineup, the Enyaq iV and the Enyaq Coupe iV are poised to make a significant impact in the market. With their impressive specifications and competitive pricing, these new models are set to attract a new generation of electric vehicle enthusiasts.
