In a thrilling college football game played in College Station, Texas, No. 19 Texas A&M emerged victorious against UTSA with a score of 42-24. The Aggies displayed a dominant second half performance, pulling away from the Roadrunners after an initial close score of 17-21.

The opening quarter saw both teams exchanging blows. UTSA's Michael Petro kicked a 36-yard field goal, while KC Concepcion, a transfer from North Carolina State, scored the first touchdown of the game with a punt return. Marcel Reed, the Texas A&M quarterback, responded by finding Concepcion for a 31-yard TD catch, increasing the Aggies' lead to 14-3.

Robert Henry Jr., UTSA's running back, racked up 177 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. His 15-yard touchdown run in the second quarter narrowed the gap to 14-10. However, Reed, who also finished as the game's top rusher with 39 yards on eight carries, threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Mario Craver, marking the second scoring hookup between the two. But the Aggies quickly pulled away, with EJ Smith scoring a 3-yard touchdown run and Theo Melin Ohrstrom scoring on fourth-and-goal from the UTSA 1, extending the lead to 35-17.

In the final moments of the game, AJ Wilson scored a 34-yard touchdown for UTSA on a pass from backup Brandon Tennison.
