In the heart of Vorpommern-Greifswald, the latest Retailer Breakfast brought together local entrepreneurs for an insightful morning of discussions and inspiration. With around 30 attendees, the event, focused on digitalization and future trends, provided a platform for exchanging ideas and exploring innovative possibilities.

Jennifer Billowie, from the Economic Development of Vorpommern-Greifswald district, was among the keynote speakers. She discussed funding opportunities for "innovative ideas and future trends," encouraging entrepreneurs to embrace the digital age and seize the opportunities it presents.

The University of Wismar and the University of Rostock, both supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, were also in attendance. The University of Wismar showcased its work under the Interreg project "AIKnowIT," developing practical AI and cybersecurity solutions, while the University of Rostock highlighted its "Center for Artificial Intelligence in MV," working on AI projects and offering expertise. The state also emphasized its commitment to promoting continuing education networks to address digital skills and AI use, including in social media contexts.

City Manager Florian Parr, satisfied with the response at the event, underscored the importance of such exchanges for a future-proof development of local retail. He highlighted the shop window workshop, one of the topics discussed, as a key area for improvement and innovation.

Preparations for planned Christmas actions were also a significant focus of the discussions. Many entrepreneurs expressed interest in following up on these discussions, not just in a smaller group, but in a larger setting, and in utilizing further information offers from ZMV.

Practical examples and individual consulting offers, as well as the possibility for further training in the use of AI in social media, were of interest to many entrepreneurs from Anklam. Mirana Ohde and colleagues from the Future Center MV were present to provide guidance and support.

The Retailer Breakfast concluded with a sense of new inspiration and motivation among the attendees. In the coming months, a funding program for local companies dealing with transformation projects and artificial intelligence will be established, further supporting the digital transformation of local businesses in Vorpommern-Greifswald.

The Future Center MV was also presented as a central point of contact for future topics of small and medium-sized enterprises in all branches in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, ensuring continued support and collaboration in the digital age.
