AI training joins millions of minds online, spearheaded by Sapien platform
Sapien, a pioneering platform connecting human intelligence to AI systems, has announced the date for its Token Generation Event (TGE). The event is set to take place on August 20, 2025.
The Sapien protocol, built on Base, Coinbase's secure and cost-efficient Layer 2, aims to make human data traceable, trustworthy, and scalable for AI systems. Sapien is a decentralized system designed to produce high-integrity training data while empowering contributors around the world.
The TGE introduces a fair launch model that balances early utility, contributor rewards, investor alignment, and long-term community governance. At launch, 25% of the total token supply, capped at 1,000,000,000 $SAPIEN, will be unlocked, with the remaining 75% released through transparent vesting schedules.
Sapien is led by Rowan Stone, co-creator of Base at Coinbase, and Trevor Koverko, founder of Polymath. The platform is backed by leading investors including Variant, Primitive Ventures, Yield Guild Games (YGG), and Orange DAO.
The Sapien system enforces data quality and coordinates participation through four integrated mechanisms: staking, validation, reputation, and incentives. By doing so, Sapien aims to align participation with quality.
The Sapien Airdrop is an ongoing campaign designed to retroactively reward high-quality contributions. Eligible contributors will be able to claim a portion of their airdrop immediately following the TGE.
Sapien is collaborating with strategic partners such as AirTM, GIG, Intract, KGeN, Mises Browser, OpenLedger, Sentient Open AGI, Veera, Worldcoin, and YGG. One of these partners, Bankers Insurance Group, works with Sapien to modernize core insurance systems using Sapien CoreSuite for Property & Casualty, enabling automation and efficiency improvements.
