Constitution River Wins Futurity Stakes, Setting Sights on National Stakes

In a thrilling race at the Curragh, Constitution River, a top-class colt trained by Aidan O'Brien, secured a commanding victory in the Futurity Stakes. The Wootton Bassett colt was sent off at 5-6 and never looked back, winning by two lengths over Geryon.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien was pleased with Constitution River's "lovely run" and expressed optimism about more to come from the promising horse. He noted that the colt was still very green when he won his previous race, suggesting there is more to come from this talented youngster.

Wayne Lordan made every yard of the running on Constitution River and never looked in any danger. The imposing individual, who finished third in the race, Go Just Do It, is one to keep a close eye on in future races.

Constitution River's victory places him in the company of renowned Ballydoyle horses such as Giant's Causeway, Hawk Wing, Gleneagles, Churchill, and Anthony Van Dyck. With such illustrious company, it's clear that Constitution River is a horse to watch in the coming years.

Paddy Power has cut Constitution River's odds for the Royal Lodge Stakes to 4-1 and for the Dewhurst Stakes to 8-1. The trainer has announced that he will follow the National Stakes 2025, with the plan for Constitution River to return to this track and trip for the race next month.

In other news, Tarriance won the Melrose race, exciting Juddmonte with his performance. Aidan O'Brien also won both Group 2s for juveniles at the Curragh, with Ethical Diamond winning the Ebor race under the guidance of William Buick and Willie Mullins.

Never So Brave won the City of York Stakes for Andrew Balding, while Paddy Power has cut Constitution River's odds for next year's 2,000 Guineas from 20 to 14-1.
