Hertha's Leadership Stays Calm Amidst Turbulent Start to Season

Hertha's new CEO, Fabian Drescher, has expressed his confidence in the team's ability to secure promotion to the Bundesliga, despite a disastrous start to the season that has seen them languishing in 17th place.

"I am far from panicking about Hertha's current position in the table," Drescher said at a press conference for the Berlin second-division football team. He added that there are still 90 points to play for in the season, and the season goals are still within reach.

Drescher's calm demeanor is shared by his fellow leader at Hertha, financial expert Ralf Huschen. Both men form a dual leadership at the club, with Huschen bringing his financial expertise to the table.

"This is a good squad," Huschen said at a separate press conference for Hertha. He acknowledged that the team hasn't performed as well as they can, but he is confident that they have a plan.

The team's recent performance has caused unrest among the ultras, who are demanding an explanation from the team council led by captain Fabian Reese. The potential conversation between the ultras and the team council during the international break is uncertain. However, Drescher does not see a need for himself to mediate between the two groups.

Drescher's counterpart, Peter Goerlich, echoed his sentiment, stating that the path to the top is paved with setbacks, and he would rather have a bad start to the season than stumble at the finish line. Goerlich also emphasized that the team is aware they haven't performed as well as they can and called for promotion for Hertha.

Despite the challenges ahead, both Drescher and Goerlich remain optimistic about Hertha's prospects for the rest of the season. They are far from panicking and are focused on achieving their goal of promotion to the Bundesliga.

Hertha's most recent match was a 0:2 home loss to Elversberg, a result that will only serve to increase the pressure on the team to turn their fortunes around. However, with Drescher and Goerlich at the helm, and Huschen providing financial support, Hertha fans can be confident that the club is in good hands.
