Air Force seekage by Manuel, devoid of Jana, in 'The Promise' for new life
In the heart of Spain, Manuel, a man still grappling with deep grief, embarks on a new venture. After the tragic loss of his wife, Jana, he decides to rekindle his passion for aviation and sets up a company to build engines.
In this journey, Manuel hires Toño, Simona's son, as an assistant. Toño's help is invaluable as they delve into the world of aircraft engineering. However, an intruder has been sneaking into Manuel's hangar when he and Toño aren't there, but they remain undeterred, focusing on their mission.
Meanwhile, a mysterious figure emerges. Enora Méndez, a red-haired business consultant, reveals herself as the one who ordered the production of three airplane engines and the one who has been sneaking into Manuel's hangar. Intrigued by Manuel's work, Enora expresses her desire to work with him, a sentiment that Manuel, encouraged by Toño, decides to embrace.
Enora's involvement extends beyond just production. She optimises the production processes, improving operational efficiency, becoming an integral part of Manuel's aircraft engine company.
Amidst the bustle of work, Manuel's heart remains occupied by his feelings for Jana. He finds solace in the support of Antonio and Nica, an elderly couple who encourage him to take control of his life. Despite this, Manuel still feels a strong pain for Jana's death and avoids visiting her grave.
In a surprising turn of events, Manuel's mother is accused of killing Jana and is taken away in handcuffs after the burial. Manuel disowns his mother, expressing his contempt and stating that she no longer exists for him.
The intruder, believed to be after something intangible, is suspected to be engaging in industrial espionage. Toño, however, suspects that the men he owed money to might have returned, but Manuel dismisses this notion.
In a twist of fate, Toño loses the money Manuel was going to invest, trying to settle a personal debt. Manuel, despite his initial anger, continues to support Toño, trying to heal the void Jana had left in his heart.
As Manuel immerses himself in aviation work, his brother Curro takes him to Jana's grave, and both brothers have an emotional moment where they miss Jana and Jana's husband, respectively. Curro swears vengeance again and finds out who really killed Jana.
In the service area patio, Jana was mourned by those who loved her. Manuel dedicated emotional words to Jana, calling her his heart and the love of his life. Despite the challenges, Manuel continues to forge ahead, finding solace in his work and the support of his friends.
