Alarm declared in a Voronezh region district due to Blackout Power Line (BPL) issue.
In the Rossoshansky District of the Voronezh Region, residents have been advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions following an alert declaration due to the threat of drone strikes.
The alert was announced by Governor Alexander Gusev in his Telegram channel, following reports of drone attacks in the neighbouring Belgorod region. According to Russian reports, these attacks were carried out by Ukrainian forces, leading to damage to a bus and a combine harvester.
In response to these attacks, Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened retaliation. The Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of four drones over Russia, with two being shot down over the Black Sea and one intercepted in the Belgorod and Rostov regions.
Residents in the Rossoshansky District are advised to call 112 if a drone is spotted. If a drone is detected, they are also urged to move out of its line of sight and seek shelter indoors and away from windows. A warning system is active in the district to alert residents of any potential drone activity.
Gusev urged residents to remain calm but cautious, emphasising the importance of following safety instructions. He assured the public that measures are being taken to ensure their safety and security.
The threat of drone attacks remains in the Rossoshansky District, with the situation being closely monitored by authorities. As the situation develops, updates will be provided to keep the public informed.
