Alcohol-Induced Car Crash Evasion
A car collision occurred at the roundabout of Poststraße/Staudernheimer Straße in Bad Sobernheim on January 30, 2025. The Kirn Police Station transmitted the news, reporting that the collision involved a car, a road island, and a lamppost.
According to the police, the driver of the car fled the scene after the collision. However, the man was later found in his apartment. A search of the scene and the man's residence led to the discovery of the damaged vehicle near his residential address.
Upon examination, it was found that the driver was heavily intoxicated, with a breathalyzer reading of 2.13 per mille. Furthermore, signs of current sedative drug influence were detected in the man.
As a result of the collision and the driver's intoxicated state, the 33-year-old man will have to forfeit his driver's license for the coming months.
