Amazon Prepares for Great Indian Festival with New GST Rates and Expanded Infrastructure

Abhinav Singh, VP-Operations for Amazon India and Australia, stated that with reduced GST on many products and exciting deals from sellers, customers can expect great savings during the festival. Amazon is prioritizing making the compliance process for the transition simple for sellers.
To ensure reliable deliveries, Amazon has hired 1.5 lakh associates and set up 45 new delivery stations in various cities, including Rai Bareli, Bulandshahr, Maraimalai, Tiruchirappalli, Howrah, East Midnapore, Port Blair, and Narsipatnam. The company has also invested ₹2,000 crore to expand its operations and logistics network.
Amazon is focusing on ensuring faster deliveries, not just in big cities, but also in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The company aims to deliver to 50% more cities the same day and twice as many locations next day compared to last year.
To help sellers pass on the benefits of the new GST rates to customers, Amazon is leveraging technology. The company is working to make it easier for sellers to adjust their prices and pass on the savings to customers.
