Andorran Taste group showcases its Pyrenees-Japanese fusion culinary creations in Barcelona
Andorra Taste 2025, the annual mountain cuisine summit, was recently presented in Barcelona, promising a unique gastronomic experience from September 17 to 21. This event aims to focus on quality over quantity and discover new talents in the culinary scene.
One of the highlights of the event will be a four-hand menu by Japanese chef Hideki Matsuhisa, renowned for his delicate Japanese cuisine, and Andorran chef Rodrigo Martínez. The Alps and Georgia will also be represented, with Emmanuel Renaut (Flocons de Sel*** in Megeve) showcasing French cuisine and Daduna Ghlonti (Skio), the creative director of the Association of Tourism, Gastronomic and Rural Tourism of Georgia, representing Georgian cuisine.
Joining the international lineup are some of the most influential figures in Spanish gastronomy. Javier Olleros, a pioneer in sustainability and Atlantic kilometer-zero, will be present, as will Luis Alberto Lera, a defender of sustainable hunting and Castilian flavors. Jordi Vilà, known for his contemporary interpretation of Catalan recipes, and Sergio Sanz, one of the most promising emerging voices of the Aragonese Pyrenees, will also participate.
In addition to these renowned chefs, Andorra Taste 2025 will honor Ferran Adrià, a legendary figure in the world of gastronomy. The event will also feature workshops, tastings, showcookings, and live music. The popular gastronomic fair at the end of the event will showcase restaurants and pastry shops from several Andorran towns.
Local talent will not be overlooked, with Jordi Grau, Marcel Besolí, José Antonio Guillermo, Victoria Kemerer, Rodrigo Martínez, and Carles Flinch, all Andorran ambassadors of cuisine, participating in the event. Stephane Tournié, a great ambassador of southwestern French cuisine, and Zineb Hattab, an internationally recognized chef for her ethical, plant-based, and radically sustainable cuisine, will also be present.
Another essential figure of the event is Francis Paniego, an essential figure of mountain cuisine in the Sierra de la Demanda. Maximilian Stock, the chef in charge of Die Geniesserstube im Alpenhof in Tux, Austria, will also contribute to the event. Uroš Štefelin, the chef at Hiša Linhart*** in Radovljica, Slovenia, will round out the international lineup.
Andorra Taste 2025 will not only showcase the culinary prowess of these chefs but will also focus on discovering new talents in the culinary scene. This promises to be an event not to be missed for any food lover.
