In the bustling city of Mumbai, IIFL Finance has been a prominent name in the financial sector, with over 2,600 branches spread across 500 cities in India. The financial institution offers a wide range of services, including financing, investment banking, and wealth and asset management.

Recognising the need for enhanced mobility and data security among its employees, IIFL Finance embarked on a mission to find a suitable solution. The IT team at IIFL required a solution that was lightweight, easy to manage, had sufficient computing power, and met stringent data security requirements.

In 2023, IIFL Finance selected Quick Heal Technologies, a leading Indian company, to help them achieve their goals. The chosen solution was Android Lenovo tablets, paired with ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus.

One of the key features of this solution is the Android Work Profile. This allows employees to use a single device for both personal and work purposes. The Work Profile provides a dedicated space for corporate app access, with remote configuration options for settings and policies.

For instance, remote configuration options for Work Profile settings include disabling screenshots and blocking cutting and pasting to ensure business data remains secure. App access restrictions are not imposed on personal profiles, maintaining employee privacy.

To aid in maintaining safety and security, IIFL Finance implemented Managed Google Play. This allows them to control where and how apps are distributed, ensuring only approved apps are used on the Work Profile.

Compliance with evolving regulatory and security requirements is facilitated by the Android Management API and ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus. Granular controls are available for setting policies, permissions, and settings by user profile for multiple devices.

Notification messages can be displayed on devices for easy identification, with their International Mobile Equipment Identity number and the user's name. This feature proves particularly useful in managing devices across various branches and ensuring security.

Upon employee departure, the Work Profile can be deleted without affecting the personal device, ensuring data privacy. The IT team can manage devices through a centralized dashboard and control policies for all devices to ensure security.

Godfrey Francis, the Head of Digital Workplace at IIFL Finance, spoke about the decision, "We needed a solution that would not only enhance our employees' mobility but also prioritise data security. Quick Heal Technologies provided us with a comprehensive solution that meets our needs perfectly."

With this new solution in place, IIFL Finance is well-equipped to navigate the future of digital work, ensuring business data remains secure while employee privacy is protected, especially as employees travel between branches.
