Animals in Munich seeking new living quarters

The Munich Animal Shelter, a beacon of hope for countless animals in need, has announced the successful rescue of 7077 animals last year. Among these, 438 dogs, 769 cats, and 959 small animals found a new lease on life.

One of the small animals that have found a home at the shelter is Hamerica, a hamster who was born at the end of May with a litter of hamster babies. Now, all the hamsters are fit and ready for a new home in loving and appropriate care. It's important to note that hamsters are nocturnal creatures, so they may make noise at night. To ensure their well-being, they should be kept alone and in a cage of minimum size 120 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm.

Hamsters need high-quality food, hay, and a diversely set up cage to provide plenty of space for exploration. The hamster group that resides at the shelter has come from poor living conditions and has already experienced a lot in their short lives as rodents.

For those seeking cats, there's Leo, a six-year-old mixed-breed male, who came to the shelter due to biting incidents. He needs consistent and experienced leadership with clear rules. Leo is very affectionate, cuddly, and playful towards people, but also shows a pronounced protective instinct. He tends to defend resources, so dog experience is a must.

Another feline friend is Lilie, an eight-year-old Ragdoll mix cat who was surrendered due to financial circumstances. Lilie prefers a quiet home and is not compatible with other cats or children. Initially shy and reserved, she becomes affectionate and people-oriented with time. Lilie is suitable for an apartment setting, ideally with a secured balcony.

Alvin, a one-year-old cat, was returned to the Munich animal shelter due to being an eyesore to his landlord. Alvin is extremely trusting, clingy, and people-oriented, loving attention and cuddling. He prefers a home in an apartment with a secure, networked balcony. However, Alvin is not compatible with other cats and prefers to have his home to himself.

The Munich Animal Shelter's website features more large and small animals waiting for loving homes. The shelter encourages potential adopters to visit and meet their new potential companions. The shelter's mission is to provide a safe haven for animals and to find them loving homes where they can thrive.

In addition to the animals mentioned, the shelter is home to numerous dogs, cats, and small animals awaiting their forever homes. The Munich Animal Shelter is a testament to the power of compassion and the importance of giving a second chance to those in need.
