Annabelle's Return: The Fearsome Rottening Doll Makes Another Appearance

In the world of horror, Gary Dauberman has made a name for himself as a prolific screenwriter. Known for his work on the Annabelle franchise, IT, The Nun, and IT Chapter Two, Dauberman is now stepping into the director's chair with his latest project, Annabelle Comes Home.

Dauberman's screenplay for Annabelle Comes Home was written in collaboration with James Wan, the creator of the Conjuring universe. The film is set in the early 1970s, following the Perron case from The Conjuring, and is based on the idea that Annabelle, the infamous doll, cannot be contained and serves as a beacon for other evil spirits.

The story focuses on Judy Warren, the ten-year-old daughter of the Warrens, who is left at home with a babysitter while her parents are away. The film unfolds on one fateful night when the Warrens' home, which houses hundreds of dangerous objects in the artifacts room, becomes a battleground for supernatural forces.

Judy's experience with her parents' paranormal work, specifically the Annabelle doll, forms the crux of the narrative. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren, respectively, showcasing their roles as loving parents to Judy.

Dauberman's directorial debut on Annabelle Comes Home marks a significant milestone in his career. His previous writing projects include a remake of Train to Busan and Stephen King's Salem's Lot, which are scheduled for release in the near future.

Dauberman's contributions to the horror genre have been nothing short of impressive. His Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation were massive box office hits, generating over $256 million and $305 million worldwide, respectively. The IT film series, for which Dauberman wrote the screenplay adaptations, broke box-office records and earned over $700 million worldwide.

In addition to his work in film, Dauberman has also ventured into television. He wrote Swamp Thing and served as an executive producer on the series.

James Wan and Peter Safran produced Annabelle Comes Home under their Atomic Monster banner. The film is set primarily in the Warrens' home, providing a chilling and suspenseful atmosphere that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Annabelle Comes Home is set to hit theatres soon, promising to be a terrifying addition to the Conjuring universe. With Dauberman at the helm, fans can expect a thrilling and nail-biting experience that will leave them wanting more.
