Announcing ATOM Mobility's OpenAPI: Facilitating Unified Connections for Mobility Service Providers

In a groundbreaking move, ATOM Mobility has unveiled its OpenAPI, a game-changer for the mobility industry. This innovative tool is set to streamline the integration of mobility services with third-party platforms, partner systems, and custom applications.

The OpenAPI, an essential tool for modern mobility businesses, facilitates fleet availability display in Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms, enables ride or rental bookings directly from external platforms, automates back-office workflows and data pipelines, and enhances customer service tools with real-time ride information.

One of the key benefits of ATOM Mobility's OpenAPI is its full read-write access to the core functions of a platform. This stands in contrast to other mobility providers' GBFS, which is typically limited to read-only data. This feature allows third-party apps to handle booking, payments, and ride management entirely within their own interface.

Support agents can now pull up a rider's active trip data in external helpdesk tools using ride ID endpoints, providing seamless customer service. Furthermore, users can book rentals or rides directly from a website without needing to download an app upfront, offering a more convenient user experience.

Mobility operators are planning to use the ATOM OpenAPI for deep MaaS platform integrations, such as connecting their fleet to platforms like umob, Moovit, and Jelbi. This integration will allow for fully bookable and payable vehicles directly from these interfaces, making mobility services more accessible than ever.

The first version of the ATOM OpenAPI supports all core modules - Vehicle sharing, Digital rental, and Ride-Hailing. It offers features such as user registration and authentication, vehicle discovery and availability, zone rules, pricing, and ride logic, starting and ending rides or bookings, accessing ride history and user activity, and enhanced actions like skipping wallet checks, triggering commands, bypassing OTP, and more.

The OpenAPI is available to all ATOM clients on the Premium Plan, which includes access to full OpenAPI documentation and developer tools, 100,000 API requests per month, and technical assistance from the ATOM team for setup and testing.

With the launch of the ATOM OpenAPI, mobility services can now be integrated with partner systems and custom applications, facilitating their offering through hotels, offices, or real estate platforms. This opens up a world of possibilities for mobility operators, enabling them to scale faster and smarter, whether exploring new channels, seeking B2B integrations, or joining a MaaS platform.

In summary, ATOM Mobility's OpenAPI is a significant step forward in the mobility industry, offering unparalleled integration capabilities and streamlining the process of offering mobility services. Whether you're a mobility operator looking to expand your reach or a developer looking to create innovative mobility solutions, the ATOM OpenAPI is a tool you can't afford to ignore.
