Annual Boxing Celebration at Sportring Garath in Düsseldorf invites participants
On Saturday, February 22nd, the Arena Hall of the Kulturhaus Süd, Fritz-Erler-Str. 21 in Garath will play host to a significant amateur boxing event. The event, sponsored by Hans-Jochem Witzke, will take place at 2:30 PM.
The boxing matches for the Rhein-Ruhr-Wupper district will commence at 3 PM. The new boxing ring, made possible by financial support from District Council 10 and the Garath 2.0 availability fund, will be the venue for this exciting competition.
The Garath Sports Club, founded in 1969, has renewed its leadership for its anniversary. The club is now led by three successful boxers from their youth – Önder Yildiz as 1st Chairman, Kid Antony as Managing Director, and Cazim Beganaj as Sports Director.
Claudia Stolle, daughter of the late Renate Eßer, serves as Treasurer of the club. The supporting programme will be kicked off by the dance group "Just be fit", trained by Andrea Bodor.
Admission to the hall begins at 2 PM. Tickets for adults are priced at 13 Euro, while children and youth (10 to under 18) pay 6 Euro. There is a discount for club members.
The Garath Sports Club celebrated its 55th anniversary last year. Volker Götz, who has been involved since the founding of the club, is the 2nd Chairman. The club continues to thrive, with its commitment to amateur boxing and community engagement remaining strong.
