Anticipated Fashion Month Creative Director Unveils Debut Collection
In the world of fashion, change is constant, and the upcoming season promises a fresh start for several iconic brands.
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have taken the helm at Loewe, following the departure of Jonathan Anderson earlier in 2025. The duo, known for their work at Proenza Schouler, will present their first ready-to-wear collection for Loewe in Paris this October. Meanwhile, Anderson has been appointed as the creative director for Dior, succeeding Maria Grazia Chiuri. His first womenswear collection for the French luxury house will be presented in Paris this October as well.
Speaking of changes at French fashion houses, Duran Lantink has been appointed as a permanent creative director for Jean Paul Gaultier, ending the house's collaborative era of creative direction. Lantink will present his first ready-to-wear collection for the brand this month in Paris.
Miguel Castro Freitas, who was previously the creative director for Mugler, has been succeeded by none other than Anderson. Freitas, who debuted his spring ready-to-wear 2026 show in Paris this September, will now lead Mugler, replacing Casey Cadwallader.
Pierpaolo Piccioli continues as the creative director for Balenciaga. No change in leadership has been announced for this brand.
Meanwhile, over at Maison Margiela and Diesel, Glenn Martens continues to make waves. Martens, connected through their parent company OTB Group, debuted his first work under Maison Margiela with the brand's haute couture 2025 collection and will present his first ready-to-wear collection during Paris Fashion Week in October.
Simone Bellotti, with a 16-year history at Gucci and previous roles at Bally, Bottega Veneta, and Dolce & Gabbana, has been named the creative director for Jil Sander, following the departure of Luke and Lucie Meier.
Lastly, Matthieu Blazy has been chosen as the new artistic director of fashion activities at Chanel, responsible for all haute couture, ready-to-wear, and accessory collections under the brand. Dario Vitale will take over as the creative director for Versace, replacing Donatella Versace who has transitioned into the role of chief brand ambassador. Vitale will debut his first collection for Versace during the brand's spring ready-to-wear 2026 show in Milan.
