Apple's long-awaited iPhone 17 Pro series is set to launch soon, and leaks suggest notable camera and performance upgrades. The devices are expected to run on Apple's latest A19 Pro processor, which offers up to 15% faster CPU performance and up to 40% better GPU performance compared to its predecessor A18 Pro.

One of the standout features of the iPhone 17 Pro models is the vapor cooling chamber system. This technology, common in mid-range and flagship Android devices, is designed to help the phones stay cooler, especially when playing high-end games, shooting videos, or running Apple Intelligence features. The system uses a tiny amount of liquid sealed inside a metal compartment to pull the heat away from the processor more quickly and evenly.

The vapor cooling chamber is expected to be particularly beneficial for the 48MP telephoto sensor, an upgrade from the 12MP sensor in the current-generation iPhone. This upgrade could enable the new iPhone 17 Pro models to support 8K video recording.

The devices are also rumoured to adopt an aluminum-glass sandwich design, a departure from the stainless steel frame used in previous models. This change, along with the vapor cooling chamber, is expected to help with heat control, as aluminum is considered better than titanium at conducting and dissipating heat.

In addition to the telephoto sensor, all three rear camera shooters on the iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to have the same 48MP resolution. This could potentially improve the quality of photos and videos across the board. The selfie camera may also see an upgrade, with a 24MP resolution for even sharper self-portraits.

The iPhone 17 Pro models may also have a smaller Dynamic Island compared to its predecessor, providing a more streamlined user interface. The devices are also expected to get a RAM boost, with 12GB of RAM (up from 8GB), ensuring smoother multitasking and improved performance.

The new iPhone 17 Pro series is likely to offer an 8x zoom capability, compared to the 5x zoom offered on the current generation. This could provide users with a more versatile photography experience.

Apple has sent invites for an "Awe Dropping" event, hinting at the unveiling of the iPhone 17 series. With these anticipated upgrades, the iPhone 17 Pro models are shaping up to be a significant step forward in Apple's smartphone lineup.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch of the iPhone 17 series.
