Anticipated Unveiling of the 2025 Hero Glamour 125 Scheduled for August 19th

The Indian motorcycle industry is abuzz with excitement as Hero MotoCorp, the country's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, prepares to launch its new flagship model, the Hero Glamour 125. With an expected price tag of over ₹1 lakh, the upcoming Glamour 125 is set to redefine the commuter motorcycle segment.

The new Glamour 125 is expected to boast a posh and sporty design, a significant departure from its current models. This revamped look is complemented by modern features such as a fully-digital TFT unit, LED turn indicators, and an LED tail light that resembles those of the Hero Karizma XMR 210 and the Hero Xtreme 250R.

One of the most anticipated features of the new Glamour 125 is the inclusion of cruise control. This feature, yet to be fully revealed, could be a gamechanger in the commuter motorcycle market. Additionally, the bike is expected to come with connectivity features like call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.

To accommodate these new features, Hero MotoCorp will modify the engine of the Glamour 125 by enhancing the fuel injection system and optimizing the engine mapping. The engine tune for the upcoming model is yet to be revealed.

The new Glamour 125 will also feature a new seat and is expected to have a more powerful output compared to the existing models. The current Glamour range, which includes the Glamour and the Glamour Xtec, produces 10.39 bhp and 10.4 Nm, and 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of torque respectively, at 7,500 rpm.

The upcoming Glamour 125 will compete against its stablemate, the Hero Xtreme 125R, and the newly launched Honda CB125 Hornet. The Hero Xtreme 125R starts from ₹95,000, and the Honda CB125 Hornet starts from ₹1.02 lakh (ex-showroom).

Anuj Dua, who has returned to Hero MotoCorp as its Head of Global Product Planning, is spearheading the development of the new Glamour 125. Despite the high expectations, the upcoming Glamour 125 is not currently listed as the Commuter Motorcycle of the Year for 2025.

The existing Glamour models are expected to undergo a radical shift in design and features with the launch of the Glamour 125. As the date of the launch approaches, more details about the new model are expected to be revealed, promising an exciting time for motorcycle enthusiasts.
