Anticipating the WinterMusic event within the Art Gallery
The much-anticipated concert event, Night in White Satin, is set to take place on February 28 and March 1, 2026, at the Kunstwerk in Mönchengladbach. This high-class concert promises an unforgettable experience, combining pop and classical music in a unique fusion.
Over several days, an extraordinary light show has been built for the event, adding to its grandeur. Despite extensive renovation work, the Night in White Satin has managed to feature high-caliber musical highlights, including tribute shows for Fleetwood Mac and Phil Collins, which were completely sold out.
Rüdiger Blömer has elaborately worked-out scores for the concert, ensuring a harmonious blend of the two genres. The youth symphony orchestra of the Heinsberg district music school has been rehearsing tirelessly for the event, under the watchful eye of conductor Kai Stoffels, who emphasizes the need for the highest discipline.
Querbeat and pop star Michael Schulte's summer party was also part of the event this year, adding a lively vibe to the proceedings. Around 1,000 fans sang along enthusiastically at the FUN concert with the youth symphony orchestra. Günter vom Dorp, a FUN singer, describes the Night in White Satin arrangements as melting the boundaries between pop and classical music.
LaLeLu's emotional finale at the event left some visitors in tears. The Summer Music event in Rheydt Castle, which preceded Night in White Satin, attracted nearly 10,000 visitors this year, setting a new visitor record and confirming its reputation as the highlight of the open-air season in Mönchengladbach.
Andree Rother, technical director of the production, states that the Night in White Satin offers a spectacular concept that's an experience in itself. Visitors are already looking forward to the Winter Music at the Kunstwerk, eager to witness another incredible event.
