Apple possibly planning to revamp MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors in autumn.
The tech world is abuzz with excitement as Apple prepares to launch its next-generation MacBook Pros, equipped with the highly anticipated M2 chips. These new devices are expected to deliver a significant boost in performance, setting a new standard for Apple's laptop lineup.
According to reports from Mark Gurman, a reporter who covers Apple news and technology for Bloomberg, Apple is testing at least nine different Mac models with the M2 chips. The M2 processor is said to boast an 18% faster CPU performance and 35% faster GPU speeds compared to the regular M1 processor.
One of the key improvements in the M2 chip is its enhanced neural engine. Compared to the M1 processor, the M2 chip has a faster neural engine, which is expected to improve machine learning tasks and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The new MacBook Pros are expected to be more powerful than the current models, with a focus on graphics performance. This is similar to the regular M2 processor, which has been lauded for its impressive graphics capabilities. However, the performance scores of the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, which are more powerful versions of the M2 processor, have yet to be revealed.
Interestingly, Apple is testing four different versions of the M2 processor, according to Gurman's initial report in April. The M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are expected to be more powerful than the M2 processor currently found in the MacBook Air.
The release date for the new MacBook Pros with the M2 chips is not yet confirmed, but they are expected to be released between fall 2022 and spring 2023. Internal expectations extend to spring 2023 to accommodate any supply-chain shortages.
As for the design, the new MacBook Pros equipped with the new processors are expected to maintain a similar design to last year's refresh.

The information about the new MacBook Pros was originally surfaced by 9to5Mac and was further detailed in Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter. The specific release date for the new MacBook Pros is uncertain, as it's hard to predict when they will hit store shelves. But one thing is for sure, the tech world is eagerly waiting for Apple's next move.
