Armed robbery of DSC enthusiasts in Dresden leaves victims traumatized.
In an unexpected turn of events, six German nationals are currently under investigation for aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm following an incident at the Steyer Stadium during a Dresden Sport Club (DSC) match.
The incident occurred on Sunday in the fan area of DSC footballers. The perpetrators, aged between 19 and 25, broke into the area and proceeded to beat up two DSC fans, striking them multiple times on the head. The victims, as a result, experienced pain and injuries.
The Dresden prosecutors have identified these individuals and are investigating them for the heinous crime committed. The stolen items, which include around 20 flags and other fan items, have not been recovered as of the time of this report.
Two of the suspects have had arrest warrants immediately issued against them. One is a 31-year-old man wanted internationally in a severe child sexual abuse case in Rust. Another is a 17-year-old suspect in a violent crime in Dormagen. An 18-year-old suspect involved in a shooting case also has an arrest warrant issued against him, but only one suspect in each case is specifically named for immediate warrants.
Witness tips led to the quick apprehension of the perpetrators. However, no further details about the arrest or the current status of the suspects have been released.
The investigations against all six suspects are ongoing, and the completion of the investigations is expected to take some time. The Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office and Dresden Police Headquarters are conducting the investigations in relation to the aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm charges.
