Wanted: Shoplifting Suspect Threatens Employee with Stabbing Weapon

In a concerning incident, Essen police are on the hunt for a shoplifting suspect who threatened an employee with a stabbing weapon. The incident occurred on March 16th at Königshof, an Asian market located on Willy-Brandt-Platz in Essen's city center.

According to the police report, the suspect entered the store and was caught rummaging through his pocket. An employee approached the suspect to check video recordings, but the suspect fled, threatening the employee with a stabbing weapon.

The initial chase led to a passageway, where two employees managed to detain the thief. However, the suspect escaped again during this encounter. The suspect was later seen in the area of the escalators, where the employee stopped him for the second time. Despite the efforts of the employees, the suspect managed to escape once more.
