In the heart of Weida, a disturbing incident unfolded on the night of August 30, 2025, at 11:45 PM, at the corner of Burgstraße and Zimmerstraße. The reference number for this case is 0226565/2025.

An altercation involving an 18-year-old man and approximately 20-30 individuals took place, resulting in the man being attacked, injured, and robbed. His personal belongings, including a smartphone and a T-shirt of the BSG Wismut Gera club, were stolen during the incident.

The Greiz Police Inspectorate has initiated an investigation for robbery, dangerous bodily harm, and insult, and the head of the investigations for the incident has been taken over by Detective Inspector Müller.

Immediate search measures led to the temporary detainment of a 15-year-old suspect. Both the suspect and the 18-year-old victim were found to have slight alcohol intoxication, with the suspect's blood alcohol level at 0.64 promille and the victim's at 0.21 promille.
