Arrest and Detention of Suspects in connection with Electronic Bike Thefts in Haslach
In the city of Freiburg, Germany, a 32-year-old man of Algerian nationality was arrested and taken into custody following the theft of an e-bike from a parking garage in Freiburg-Haslach on September 2, 2025.
The incident occurred around 4:30 PM, as a witness reported observing a man breaking the locks of two parked bicycles. The e-bike, one of the two stolen bicycles, was later found near the community accommodation where the suspect was residing.
The police initiated a manhunt and, that same evening, arrested the suspect in Freiburg. The e-bike, which was recovered, was found in close proximity to the location where the suspect was arrested.
