In the small town of Klein Sarau, located within the District of Herzogtum Lauenburg, an alleged attempted burglary took place on Sunday, September 1, 2025. The incident, which occurred at a single-family home, unfolded on the evening of August 31, 2025, at 21:55.

According to the Police Directorate Ratzeburg, the suspect was identified and apprehended by the police. The 18-year-old Syrian suspect was temporarily arrested nearby. The name of the individual has not been publicly disclosed.

The suspect allegedly damaged a window pane with an unknown object before encountering residents unexpectedly and fleeing without stealing anything. The residents immediately alerted the police, who were quick to respond.

The suspect entered the residence through an open terrace door. The criminal investigation into the attempted burglary is ongoing.
