Arrest Warrants Executed at Cologne Bonn Airport Over the Weekend by BPOL NRW

In a series of incidents over the weekend, Cologne Bonn Airport saw multiple arrests and substitute sentences handed out for various offences.

On Sunday, a 31-year-old Moldovan citizen was stopped before departing to Chisinau for violating the narcotics law. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Würzburg demanded a payment of 1,500 EUR, including court costs, or 15 days in jail from the Moldovan. The individual was able to avoid imprisonment by paying the amount.

On the previous Saturday, a 50-year-old Turkish man was stopped at the airport during his entry from Istanbul. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Nuremberg-Fürth ordered preventive detention for the man, as he had provided a false address to evade probation supervision and traveled abroad, resulting in a flight risk. The man's name, however, is not mentioned in the provided search results.

In a separate incident, a 40-year-old Serbian was arrested on August 8, 2025, at the airport for forgery. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Kiel issued an arrest warrant for the Serbian, who paid 1,000 EUR to avoid imprisonment before departing to Antalya.

A 38-year-old German was arrested on Saturday for driving without a license at the airport. The German's driver's license had been revoked by the Bonn Road Traffic Office. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Koblenz demanded four days in jail or 507 EUR from the German. The German chose to pay the 507 EUR.

Among the four arrest warrants executed at the airport over the weekend, only one individual was taken into custody.
