Arson at a Gas Station Committed by a 38-year-old Individual
A 38-year-old man is under investigation for suspected arson following an incident at a gas station on Frankfurter Straße in Heusenstamm.
According to the police report, the suspect allegedly poured gasoline over a fuel pump and ignited it, causing a brief fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fuel pump was deactivated by an emergency stop before any significant damage occurred.
Upon his arrest near his home after the incident, the suspect was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.3 per thousand, as determined by a breathalyzer test. He was then sobered up in police custody, with blood taken from him for further analysis.
A large number of emergency services were deployed to the scene, including around 40 fire service personnel, rescue services, and police. After an initial assessment, most emergency personnel were able to leave the scene.
