Art Exhibition at La Mirada Art Colony titled 'Mirrors of Your Mind', featuring artwork and competition
The "Mirrors of Your Mind" Art Show, an annual event organised by the Arts Colony of La Mirada, is set to return this November. The submission period for this year's show begins on November 12th and runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
This art show is open to all artists, regardless of membership status, and local artists are encouraged to participate. Entry forms for both adults and students are available for the show.
For students from middle school to high school, the Student Category allows them to submit up to two pieces of artwork at no cost. On the other hand, the Diversity Art Contest, sponsored by the ABC Education Foundation, invites K-12 students in the ABC Unified School District to submit an original piece of artwork that expresses images of what diversity means.
Artwork drop-off for the "Mirrors of Your Mind" art show will be on November 1 and 2 during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The artwork will be on display from November 18th to November 22nd.
The Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 23rd, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Artists can pick up their artwork after the awards ceremony.
Lastly, it's worth mentioning that Congresswoman Linda Sánchez, in a separate event, received a large number of submissions from high school students throughout her district for her 2012 Annual Congressional Arts Competition. The winners of this competition will be announced at a reception and award ceremony on May 5th.
Stay tuned for more updates on the "Mirrors of Your Mind" Art Show 2024, and we look forward to seeing the creative expressions of the local community.
