Art Showcases by Frank Heller and Collaborators
The Adult Education Centre in Bergisch Gladbach is set to host two captivating exhibitions in September, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of art.
Firstly, a group show titled "Art Washes Away the Dust of Daily Life from the Soul" will open on Friday, 5th September, at 6 PM. This exhibition features works from over 50 course participants, showcasing a variety of techniques such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and graphite on canvas or paper. The exhibition will be on display until Wednesday, 17th September.
The second exhibition, starting from 19th September, is a solo exhibition titled "The Interior" by Frank Heller. Known for his residence in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis for many years, Heller has been teaching painting courses at VHS Bergisch Gladbach for over 20 years. His solo exhibition focuses on interior art, exploring the internal space and life within. Heller's work in this solo exhibition uses watercolor and pastel, often referencing and interpreting works by de Witte, Menzel, Hammershøi, Vuillard, and Hopper.
Frank Heller's solo exhibition, "The Interior," will run until Monday, 20th October, 2025. It will be opened by Nicole Mrziglod, director of VHS Bergisch Gladbach, and the artist himself. The exhibition will be on display during the VHS's regular opening hours, making it accessible to all.
