At the outset of the Eastern Economic Forum, a competitive athletic event titled "Fight and Win" commenced.

Vladivostok, Russia, is gearing up for a sports-filled weekend as the city awaits the Strive and Win road race on September 5. The event, organised by the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation, the All-Russian Public Organization "All-Russian Federation of Light Athletics", and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Fizcult Sports Center "Hero Race" with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the government of the Primorsky Krai, promises an exciting day of competition.

The race, which had a unified distance of 5 km, attracted approximately 1000 participants, including renowned athletes and local runners. Kliment Kolesnikov, a multiple swimming medal and title winner, and Ivan Shtyl, a multiple world champion canoeist, were among the prominent figures who took part in the awards ceremony.

The unified start for forum participants and locals was given at 6:30 am local time. The oldest athlete in the race was 76-year-old Mikhail Starov from Vladivostok, demonstrating the event's appeal to people of all ages.

In the women's category, Alena Vasilyeva emerged victorious with a time of 20:18, while Uliana Bozhok, the fastest local female runner, crossed the finish line in 19:00. Alexei Pivovar was the fastest local male runner, completing the 5 km distance in 14:42. Andrey Bely, a forum participant, won the race with a time of 16:53.

A Media Relay, presented by the All-Russian Athletics Federation, was also held during the race, featuring mixed teams of five people each. The Media Relay winners were awarded trophies. All participants of the Strive and Win race received commemorative medals.

As the race concludes, Vladivostok continues to celebrate with a series of events. Farmers' markets will open in different parts of the city during the first weekend of autumn. DV Street, Victory Train, and Healthy Run are part of the weekend program, culminating in Total Festival. Kamchatka Reads, which will take place from September 5 to 7.

Registration for tours has opened at the National Center "Russia" in Primorye, offering visitors a chance to explore the city's rich culture and history. The 4th Eastern Economic Forum, which the race opened, promises to be an exciting event, fostering economic and cultural exchange between nations.
