Attack on a nail salon worker in Midtown: Further visuals unveiled of the suspect involved in the assault
A shocking incident occurred in Midtown on Labor Day, September 1, when a man attempted to viciously rape a nail salon employee. The perpetrator, identified as Mario Ramirez, a 28-year-old man, entered the salon on West 36th Street and Broadway, which was closed for the day but had its door left unlocked.
The suspect, Ramirez, let himself into the salon and lunged at a 34-year-old employee. He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into a back room before throwing her to the ground. The victim was able to fight off the suspect during the assault.
The suspect bit the employee and attempted to remove her pants and underwear. Thankfully, the victim was able to fend off the attack, and the perpetrator fled before he could complete the sickening act.
Ramirez is a known sex offender, and law enforcement is seeking the public's help to track him down. The suspect is described as wearing a white shirt, beige pants, and possibly a hat.
