Attempted Railways Fund Office Break-in at Wuppertal Main Station - 45-year-old nabbed by Federal Police, associated with BPOL NRW

The Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin has taken up the investigation of a 45-year-old Turkish national, who was arrested for attempting a break-in at the lost and found office of Deutsche Bahn in Wuppertal Central Station on April 9, 2025.

The suspect was found on platform 1 by the officers at 11:37 PM, carrying an iron bar. Analysis of CCTV footage showed that he had repeatedly looked around and checked for nearby persons before the incident. The iron bar was seized, and the suspect was taken to the Wuppertal Federal Police Station for further investigation.
